      The digital divide is an issue that is remaining persistent especially with the new technological advancements that are being made everyday. This is an issue that we should definitely be paying attention to and trying to find ways to bridge the gap. The first big reason we need to pay attention to the divide is the growing disparities in the education system. Since the pandemic, school systems have shifted a lot of work to be completed online on devices such as laptops, smartphones and computers. Student's that lack access to the internet and these devices face a big set back in them completing coursework and learning basic digital skills. Another reason we should care about the divide is different economic opportunities. With the workplace going more digital more jobs are being offered online.                                I found the 2025 IFPI Global Music Report really interesting for many different reasons. One thing that was cool to see was a lot of the artists that I listen to were on the list and gave statistics on how influential their music is worldwide. Another thing I found interesting was all the new trends and developments that we will see in the music industry. I think the future of music is still definitely gonna be heavily driven by the various streaming services. According to the report streaming services accounted fro 69% of the total music industry revenues. There was a huge growth of 9.5% in people signing up for paid subscriptions on different streaming services.
